Add to Google
So you want to add your website to Google. How do you do it? Adding content to Google is a must if you want your website or app to show up in the search listings. Luckily, Google has made it easy to add content to their search engines. You don't need to be an SEO specialist to do this. The process is, in fact, quite simple.
Adding a website to Google
Google Search Console
If you have a Google search console account then you can add your website url using this method. With Google Search Console, you can verify and submit a website sitemap of your site and Google will parse it and then submit it for spidering and indexing. If you don't have a Google Search Console account then you can set one up for free using your Google account. I would highly recommend setting one up if you don't have one already due to the amount of information that it provides. If you make a change to a single page, or add a new webpage, then Google Search Console also allows you to manually submit an indexing request for that particular page to add it to the Google index. If you have a Wordpress site then plugins such as Yoast SEO give you access to some of the Search Console data in your dashboard too.
If you don't use it already, I can't stress how important Google Search Console is for website owners. It also shows you broken links, your position on Google Search and Google crawls of your site.
Manual Submission
If for some reason you don't have a Google account or don't want to use Google Search Console, you can submit a website to Google Search by using the Google Add Url feature. This will submit your website to Google for inclusion in it's search engine index.
Adding an app to Google
To add an app to Google, you can use Firebase App Indexing. Firebase App Indexing gets your app into Google Search. If users have your app installed, they can launch your app and go directly to the content they're searching for. App Indexing reengages your app users by helping them find both public and personal content right on their device.Including your structured data in Google search listings
Structured data is a standardized format for providing information about a page and classifying the page content; for example, on a recipe page, what are the ingredients, the cooking time and temperature, the calories, and so on. You can follow the structured data guidelines which help you put the correct code on your website.Google Search results also use structured data to enable special search result features and enhancements. These include knowledge graphs, carousels and enriched search results.
